Presentations
Presentations for Kids
I love talking to kids about books, getting ideas, the writing process, and (maybe most important in writing and life) persistence and not giving up! I’ve done in-person and virtual presentations for schools and libraries all over the country.
My presentations are best for grades K-6. I have several presentations targeted to different age groups, and I’ve also given writing workshops for upper elementary students. Please contact me for more information and pricing.
Presentations for Adults
I enjoy presenting to grown-ups, too! I’ve been a keynote speaker for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators’ national conference, and have spoken, given workshops, and been on panels at numerous bookseller groups, writing conferences, and educator conferences. I've also been a guest lecturer for college classes.
Please contact me if you’d like to discuss a potential speaking engagement.
What People Are Saying
“Not only is she an award-winning author, she is organized, funny and engaging! She had different presentations for kindergarten/ preschool, primary, and intermediate students. Her presentations were marvelous—even captivating the 6th grade students! The whole staff complimented her presentation and easy-going, caring personality.
I would highly recommend Deborah Underwood for any school! Plan for a great day!”
