I co-write the Sugarplum Ballerina chapter books series with Whoopi Goldberg. Maryn Roos does the wonderful illustrations. The books are about a group of girls who live in Harlem and attend the Nutcracker School of Ballet. Although each book focuses on a different girl, friendship takes center stage in every adventure.
